The following are a few pictures of our local 4-H children who are beginning quilters. For most of them this was their first time in front of a sewing machine. All of them did quite well and received ribbons at the fair. My friend Diane and I have enjoyed working with the girls and watched them create and grow. This coming year we have additional members who are trying their hand at quilting. Some of the moms have also become involved. Sewing day has become a family event.
On occasion we have guests who help us with projects other than quilting. My daughter, Sara, helped with our "apron sewing day".
Our grandchildren play a huge role in our lives. My husband Tom and I enjoy them immensely. We have devoted the room next to my workshop as a playroom for them. They can be close to Grandma and "help" me when I need it. I hope you enjoy the pictures of them. "May they make you smile."
